About

David Keene BA (Hons)

My name is David Keene. Being open and transparent, I have substantial experience and have worked with the addiction and recovery services for several years, connecting individuals to the community and residential detoxification services and post-treatment services.

I am delighted that I am able to empower, encourage and show individuals how to recover from their own subjective addiction/dependence with their own personal alcohol and/or drug treatment using integrative recovery practices that are compliant with individuals’ own beneficence.

I will work collaboratively with the person who wants to get well, and I will share the process and show them the new road that they are going to travel towards achieving a great and brilliant life free from alcohol and mind-altering drugs.

Dictatorship of Alcohol

Alcohol is more than just a substance; it’s a system of control that operates quietly yet powerfully in our society. It infiltrates our celebrations, our coping mechanisms, and even our identities. The Dictatorship of Alcohol is a regime that influences our decisions, relationships, and mental health, often without us realising it.

At its core, this dictatorship thrives on societal norms and cultural conditioning, making alcohol consumption seem unavoidable or even necessary. It silences those who question its role, marginalises those who struggle with its consequences, and perpetuates harmful cycles that affect individuals, families, and entire communities.

Common Questions

  • I help you achieve what you want in relation to your alcohol use.

This is not about being told what to do.

It’s about understanding your situation, your goals, and what matters to you — then empowering you to move towards that with clarity and confidence.

    You define the outcome.

    I help you get there.

  • Most services focus on fixed outcomes like stopping or cutting down.

    QuitForGood.net is different.

    This is about:

    • Empowering you to think clearly

    • Enabling you to make informed decisions

    • Guiding you without pressure or judgement

This is your journey — not a prescribed path.

  • Yes — I will focus on supporting you towards totally quitting if that is what you want.
At the same time, this approach is built around your subjective wishes.

    That means:

    • I will adapt to your goals as they are now

    • I will support you if your thinking evolves

    • I will adjust the approach if you change your mind

This is not a fixed or rigid process.

    It is about:

    • Empowering you to make informed decisions

    • Enabling you to take control

    • Guiding you in a way that reflects your reality

If your goal is total quitting, I will fully support that.

  • I will work with you to:

    • Understand your current patterns

    • Explore what is influencing your behaviour

    • Identify risks, impacts, and consequences

    • Develop strategies aligned with your goals

    Throughout the process, I will:

    • Empower you

    • Enable you

    • Guide you

You stay in control at all times.

  • That’s more common than you think.

It’s often not about failure — it’s about using approaches that didn’t fit you.

    Together, we will:

    • Understand what happened before

    • Learn from it without judgement

    • Build a personalised approach that works for you

This time, it’s about you — not a system

  • No.

This is for anyone who wants:

    • More clarity

    • More control

    • Better decision-making

    • A different relationship with alcohol

    You don’t need a label.

You just need a willingness to reflect and explore change.

  • No.

While my core focus is on alcohol, I bring experience, work, and knowledge across a wide range of addictions and behavioural patterns, including:

    • Alcohol

    • Drugs

    • Prescribed medication

    • Nicotine

    • Sex and love

    • Pornography

    • Gambling

    • Gaming

These behaviours are often connected, overlapping, or driven by similar underlying patterns.

This means I don’t just look at one issue in isolation — I help you understand the wider picture, so you can make informed decisions that genuinely work for you.

Whatever you’re dealing with, the approach remains the same:

    Empowering you

    • Enabling you

    • Guiding you

All in a way that supports your goals and your reality
